Introducing Dr. La Quita D. Frederick
Let's talk about the MVP life. I reimagined three letters everybody recognizes and gave the acronym a new Mission, Vision, and Purpose. Then I asked it to carry some weight.
I created The MVP Code for individuals and organizations aspiring to lead, play, and win their lives, their game, their way. Sport celebrates an MVP—most valuable player—with recognition and rewards. Most MVPs arrive on the stage because they planned, prepared, and trained in the ways best suited to reap their success.
As such, I focus on what it takes to be the MVP of your own life, especially when asked to put your mission, vision, and purpose into motion. That is the conversation I bring to a keynote stage, a leadership seminar, or a team lab. I bring questions with substance, stories with swag, and room for answers that surprise us.
My perspective spans college athletics, professional sports, higher education, and the business of sport across the nation and abroad. I spent over three decades in the sports industry with stops at the NBA, MLB, NCAA, and more. Then, I pivoted to higher education as an administrator and professor, including nearly five years as the Faculty Director and Associate Professor of the Practice with Georgetown University’s Sport Industry Management program.
With over thirty years of deep and diverse experience, I founded The Qolosseum, a strategy arena and design studio for the global sports world. My perspectives have appeared in ABC News in Sydney, Australia, Fast Company, Forbes, Sports Business Journal, NPR, PBS NewsHour, and Reuters, amongst others.
I decode complexity. I design distinction. I architect incomparability. For those ready to Be the MVPs of their own lives, I speak to empower, elevate, and inspire with a definition of winning only they can compose, design, and develop. The end game is always to ignite Mission, illuminate Vision, and inspire Purpose. A Standard of One.
